Its really nice to see how so many people like this band even though they split up sometime in the mid eighties after releasing only two full lengths. They played a brand of music that is now viewed as typical classic mid eighties british metal, alongside with bands like Battleaxe, Grim Reaper, Saxon, Raven and the like. Speed, Power, with that beloved classic twin-guitar attack that we have all come to love so much these days. Clearly the heaviest and brightest side of the NWOBHM, which is now appealing to a growing number of metal fans again. So, it is with great pleasure that I talk of this band(or rather this genre) since it has a lot more than its share of lost gems. Over a period of time, I shall try to provide some great NWOBHM every now and then.
Following a worldwide resurgence of interest in "classic" metal and NWOBHM, and like many heavy metal bands from the eighties, Spartan Warrior have decided to let the axes do the talking again and to bring the band into the 21st century. So far the line up includes Neil Wilkinson, Dave Wilkinson and Tom Spencer . Paul Swaddle and Gordon Webster are still trying to decide whether to rejoin but if not the band will be looking for replacements. Neil and Dave have already begun to record new material. Very interesting to see this happening. A lot of Heavy Metal/NWOBHM bands from the eighties are reuniting again. A great sign for the Metal scene...

Reposted. Cheers!
I had one track by this band on the compilation "Metal Machine" that I've owned for more than 20 years, but I could never find an album by these guys. Thank you
